Work placement

An essential virtue of VIA University College and our students is to put theoretical results into use in the 'real world' outside the gates of the University College. 

Should you join us on a full degree programme, you will experience this in the same way as all our Danish students do: by doing one or more periods of work placement.

No matter the direction of your studies you will enjoy the experience of getting practical training in a company or in public administration and learn skills and gain knowledge that can’t be acquired in a classroom. 

We have excellent cooperation on work placement with local businesses that appreciate the placement students we send them. Increasingly we get the same kind of positive feedback from both foreign based companies and Danish companies operating abroad.

For you, this is important as you can either go abroad or stay in Denmark for your work placement period.

The work placement has a dual purpose. You will get to know what your professional future is all about while you are still preparing yourself for it and you will get good contacts with employers within the field of your study.

The main reason for business life and public administration to recruit placement students is the same: to get to know the well-qualified and highly skilled graduates. There is a huge demand and fierce competition for employees in Denmark these years.
