Academic calendars - the teaching year

The academic year at VIA University College is divided into two semesters:

• the spring semester and
• the autumn semester

Each semester has a duration of 18-20 weeks.

Lectures are carried out in the first 14-16 weeks from the start of the semester, and examinations take place during the final 3-4 weeks.

Lectures start at 8.20 am every day from Monday to Friday. The mornings are devoted to the teaching of theory in classes of 25-35 students. The afternoons are used for reading theory, project work and assignments.
